REAGRY

Agroecological Transitions Rooted in Tradition for Climate Resilience

REAGRY is an international agroecology project developing climate-resilient farming solutions by combining traditional land-use practices, scientific validation, and farmer-led innovation across Europe.

Project overview

What we build together

Healthy Soils

Supporting soil structure, biological activity and long-term ecosystem functioning through agroecological land management.

Biodiversity Recovery

Enhancing biodiversity, habitat quality and ecosystem resilience across agricultural landscapes.

Water Retention

Developing climate-adaptive farming systems that improve infiltration and drought resilience.

Viable Farming Systems

Supporting economically resilient farming systems that balance productivity, sustainability and long-term adaptability.

Strong Rural Communities

Strengthening collaboration, knowledge exchange and community-driven agroecological transitions across Europe.

About REAGRY

Science and tradition for resilient agriculture

Climate change, soil degradation and biodiversity loss are major challenges for European agriculture. REAGRY aims to modernize and scientifically validate traditional agroecological practices such as rotational grazing, agro-silvopastoral systems and landscape-based restoration approaches.

Through five Pilot sites and Living Labs, the project develops practical and regionally adapted solutions that improve drought resilience, biodiversity, soil health and long-term farm sustainability.

REAGRY combines ecological monitoring, socio-economic assessment, farmer experience and policy-oriented research to support the wider adoption of regenerative agroecological systems.
